Adorable Black Cat With Eyes Is Like a Walking Shadow

Black cats have a terrible reputation, but one black cat in Daejeon, South Korea, is proving them wrong. Meet MeonJi, a four-year-old Scottish fold cat that is stealing hearts all over the web. He’s perfected the art of camouflage thanks to his black fur.

He has the ability to blend into gloomy environments, allowing his owners to only see his large, brilliant eyes, which appear to hover in mid-air.

MeonJi (meaning “dust” in Korean) is described by MeonJi’s mother, Kim Aerin, as “the blackest yet brightest cat.” MeonJi may look inconspicuous, hiding in his cat bed or hiding into the shadows, yet his wacky personality shows through every day.

“I’m not going to lie, I wasn’t initially interested in black cats, but as soon as I met my cat, I was absolutely captivated with black cats,” Aerin admits. “If you asked me right now, I’d say they’re the best!”

MeonJi has almost 163,000 Instagram followers as of this writing, which is unsurprising. From nibbling on salad greens to hiding in the washing machine, his charming photographs show his hilarious activities.

Aerin says of her cat’s personality, “Now that I think about it, I’d say it’s different every day.” “One day, MeonJi is a wonderfully adorable kitty, and the next, he is either extremely sensitive or entirely opposite—full-on feisty.”

MeonJi is definitely attractive, in addition to having a humorous personality. The adorably silly black cat has been compared to Toothless, the Night Fury dragon from the How To Train Your Dragon trilogy, because to his big eyes and small fangs.

MeonJi’s pupils widen when he’s pleased, which is pretty much all of the time, much like the popular cartoon dragon.

Check out MeonJi’s photographs below, and be sure to follow him on Instagram for more adorableness.
